19 December 2024 – A little Krawl and a large lunch – and it was! Nine enjoyed the mulled wine prior to our regular krawl of 3.3 miles around Downe. Cold, with a sharp wind but bright sunsine was the order of the day along with plenty of mud. For the second year running we did not see any Deer. The Queens Head did us proud yet again – good food, good wine and, as always, good company.

28 November 2024 – Around Pratts Bottom. A late change of pub saw eight of us meet our President, Roger, at The Bulls Head, Pratts Bottom on a very cold, windless and bright day. Lots of uphill and lots of styles (some say 17!) saw us arrive at The Three Horseshoes in Knockholt. Very grumpy service greeted us mainly due to two wakes, not thier normal standard. Mostly downhill on the way back so that was good. Jim popped in for a drink prior to his move to Lincolnshire. He promised to visit us in the future! Good food and great company.

31 October 2024 – Knole Park Krawling, with Chris as President, saw a small group enjoy a good autumn day amongst the deers and fallen leaves. Having started at the The White Hart we made our way to The Chequers in Sevenoaks. Having ordered a round they told us they don’t take cash!- A steep downhill, which we had previously climbed, followed by a long but not steep climb, took as back to an enjoyable meal and three more krawlers.

26 September 2024 – A krawl accross Leaves Green. Six met up for a 10o’c start, heading to Furze Bottom via Fox and Leafy Grove, in good conditions and ideal tempreture. It was a bit slow going up the diagonol field for Mike and Chris but they made it and we were bang on midday when we reached The Crown Inn. A pleasent pint and off again, quite a bit of road saw us arrive at The Greyhound at 13:30. Another very good afternoon was had putting the world to rights and enjoying each others company. Good food and drink as usual.

29 August 2024 – Around Otford – Eight of us met at The Bull in Otford for a 10:00 start. A very pleasant krawl along the river Darenth in dry conditions that took us to the foot of the ‘big climb’ towards the ‘Cross’. Back down and heading to Shoreham we met up with BN, who had bailed out of the climb, at The Kings Arms. Fully repleat we returned to Otford to find Dave and Fred, making 10, for a very filling lunch at a very reasonable price. Around 6 miles in total.

25 July 2024 – A Krawl around High Elms and Farnborough. Colin (President) greeted nine of us in the car park near The Greyhound pub. We then made our way via Wilberforce, High Elms and the graves of the Lubbock family to the Woodman Pub in Farnborough for a well deserved pint before heading back for lunch. And a good lunch it was too… eight of us having the really tasty fish & chips.

25 April 2024 – Chelsfield and environs. At least it wasn’t raining for this krawl, unlike the last two. Six gathered early for the start at the Bo Beep in Orpington. The President, Dave Arnold, was in good form and we all enjoyed a very pleasant and not difficult kawl across mostly open countryside, albeit with four stiles within the first mile. Making our way to the Five Bells in Chelsfield we were joined by Jim – bit cold to sit outside so we enjoyed a good pint inside before making our way back. Six ‘lunchers’ joined us and we had very good food, drinks and service along with lots of banter.

28 March 2024 – a figure of eight around Knockholt was the intention but due to more bad weather it was cut to a loop around… The President, Roger, met the ‘few’ and guided them on yet another wet krawl. On their return they were met by a bevy of lunchers and all ten enjoyed a very good and quite long meal.

29 February 2024 – A Krawl around Leaves Green and Biggin Hill Aerodrome, in the rain… Six hardy soles enjoy each others company on one of the wettest krawls for many a time. The President, David White, having plied us with a nice tipple led us on a shortened krawl to The Queens Head in Downe. Having met at The Crown, Leaves Green in good spirits, despite the rain, we returned three hours latter for a most enjoyable meal where we were joined by four others. Around 5 miles or so.

25 January 2024 – Gareth was due to be President but could not attend at the last minute – but he had a substitute in Drew. After a delay of some 40 minutes (don’t ask) we eventually left the car park near The Greyhound in Keston and made our way on a tough 4 miles towards The Crown Inn at Leaves Green. A good pint and we set off for the return journey meeting up with the three ‘lunchers’. Yet another good meal, and a few drinks, were enjoyed by all. Six and a half miles in good conditions, not much mud and mild temperatures.
