15 December 2016 - A tiny krawl and a large lunch. Mulled wine greeted our krawlers prior to the BN leading the krawl around Hayes Common, over to the ponds and back via the windmill. Just about four and a half miles was enough before our big lunch held at the Blackheath Clubhouse. Great food from our regular Chef, Chris. A good way to start the festive period. The last few didn't leave until 20:30...

Present: BN (President), Drew, Ken, Roger+Colin (lunch), Phil, Jim, Apples+David and Sean, Chris, Dave W, Dave C, Fred, little Mike (walk only) - Martin, Ponti joined for lunch (14 krawled, 16 dined)

Apologies: Rae, Colin, John Butler, John Berry, Harry, Dick and Peter (7)

24 November 2016 - A krawl around Keston. The planned krawl was cancelled at short notice due to a funeral, so the BN organised a lung busting krawl based on Keston. Up's, downs and stiles took us to the Fox at Keston for a very good pint. The steady walk back took us via the ponds and Wilberforce Oak to the King's Arms where we were well received and feed on their famous pies. A good 7 and a half hilly miles.

Present: BN (President), Jim, Drew, Phil, Roger, Dave W, Fred, Martin, Ponti and Dave C (8 krawled 9 dined)

Apologies: John Berry, Harry, John Butler, Apples (4)

27 October 2016 - Chislehurst. The President of the Day was Fred Spalding who had arranged for us to meet at the Bromley Cricket Club where he had a Charabanc to take us to the actual start at Chislehurst station. A krawl that we had not done for many years was much enjoyed by the newer members who expressed surprise as to how much countryside there is on our doorstep. We made our way via 'the Atomic house' to the Gordon Arms for a welcome pint then on to the lunch venue, Bromley Cricket Club, for roast beef, which was much enjoyed. Enjoyed even more was the invite to the Sonning Pub where we were royally entertained and introduced to some vintage brandy. Another great day in the life of KKK.

Present: Fred (President), BN, Drew, Rae, Chris, Jim, Dave C, Dave W, Roger, Ken and Apples (11 krawled 9 dined)

Apologies: Phil, Harry, Ponti, John Berry, Martin and John Butler (6)

25 September 2016 - Ladies Krawl around Plaxtol. Short on numbers due to holidays but high in quality. Twelve members and their ladies set off from Ightham Mote on a pleasant morning having first been offered a 'livener' by Anthony our President. The weather was much better than forecast and we all enjoyed the lovely views across the Kent countryside. It had been intended that we would make our way to the Golding Hop, however, it has been sold and was closed today. So change of plan... we duly arrived at The Papermakers Arms in Plaxtol bang on mid-day but had to wait a few minutes before they opened up. After due refreshment we set off to The Plough at Ivy Hatch where we enjoyed a nice leisurely lunch of roast beef having been joined by four others, so we sat sixteen. Just about 6 miles in total.

Present: Anthony (President) & Jan, BN & Terri, Dave & Rita, Kate, John Butler, Chris & Sue, Jim & Pauline - Ken & Jackie and Peter & Judy joined for lunch (16)

Apologies: Dick, Apples, Fred, Roger, Phil, Drew, Rae, Hazel, Martin, Dave C, Colin, Harry, Annie and Mike R (14)

25 August 2016 - Sevenoaks Weald. Our President, Rae, led us on a first class krawl on a very warm and sweaty day. Everyone thought it was great, no big ups or downs, nice wide paths and lots of banter. We started and finished at The Windmill in the Weald, went to The Greyhound in Charcott for our half-way house where we sat inside under the fans as it was cooler. The food at the Windmill was first class as was the service and we had our own room. Seven pont one miles in total.

Present: Rae (President), BN, Drew, Jim, Phil, Harry, Roger, Fred, Dave C and Ken joined us for lunch (10)

Apologies: Chris, John Berry, Colin, Martin, Mike R, Ponti, Dave W, John Butler, Apples (9)

28 July 2016 - Roger, as President for the day, led a very successful Krawl around the Halstead 'secret' weapons research centre, stopping at The Three Horseshoes in Knockholt for a very refreshing drink and some extra fun (see photos). The circuit back to Halstead was completed without incident, if you ignore acting BN Fred dismantling a dodgy stile so we could pass through. As there were over a dozen old fashioned climb over stiles on today's route it was the most 'stilish' walk of the year. With the unfortunate absence of the BN (speedy recovery from us all) there were 13 krawlers, reduced to 12 after the half way house as local guide Phil slipped away via home to shower and change. In retaliation for this sop to civilisation, a number of Krawlers refused to change their shirts and shorts for lunch (with President's permission). An excellent walk (7 miles) and a nourishing roast to follow in great company. Thanks to Apples for write up and photos...

Present: Roger (President), Drew, Phil, Dave C, Jim, Harry, Ponti, Dave W, Colin, Mike R, Apples, Fred & Ken (13)

Apologies: Rae, Chris, Martin, John  Berry, John Butler, BN (6)

30 June 2016 - Darenth Valley. A couple down on the 14 booked due to work and illness. Ken, our President, select a very level krawl apart from one long uphill, which had half the members gasping for breath. Fine views were had at the top across the Darenth Valley. Weather was kind with a few spots as we got changed for lunch. The Kings Arms was reached bang on midday after about 3 & half miles, very nice pint of Greene King IPA. A further 2 & half miles took us back to The Bull in Otford - a great meal was had and everyone seemed to enjoy it, service was a bit slow. Three of our regular visitors were nominated for membership and seemed appreciative, we hope they enjoy many years of membership - welcome 'little' Mike, John and Drew.

Present: Ken (President), BN, Harry, John, Fred, Dave C, Roger, Dave W, Colin and new members, John Butler, Drew Grace and Mike Richards (12)

Apologies: Phil, Martin, Dick, Chris, Rae, Apples, Ponti and Jim (8)

22 May 2026 - Ladies Day Krawl over Westerham heights - A pleasant spring day greeted the 17 krawlers that meet at Westerham Car Park. Our President, 'Apples', took us up and away until we reached the National Trust Tea Rooms at Chartwell. It was a shortish walk as we arrived just after 11:00, we enjoyed some light refreshments in the open air before heading back to Westerham by a slightly longer route - total distance just under 6 miles. Having smartened ourselves up we walk into Westerham proper for a decent lunch, reasonably priced, in The King's Arms Hotel. A very nice day altogether.

Present: Dave (President) & Annie, Mike & Terri, Rae & Sjoukje (walk only), Jim & Pauline, Dave & Rita and Ray & Chris, Annie, Kate (walk only), Hazel, Fred & PohLeng - Ken & Jackie and Peter & Judy joined for lunch - (17 krawled & 18 dined).

Apologies: Chris, Phil, Roger, Harry, John, Ponti, Dick, Martin, Dave C, Colin (10)

28 April 2016 - A Krawl on the edge of Sevenoaks. Ably led by Martin on his first venture as a President. He ordered good spring weather, albeit with a sharp wind, good food and good company. We set off from The Padwell Arms, Stone Street,  and headed to The Plough at Ivy Hatch arriving just after midday. An enjoyable pint sent us back to The Padwell Arms for a very nice roast beef lunch which was rather large and very good value. About 6 miles in total.

Present:  Martin (President), BN, Dave A, Dave C, Jim + David, John, Chris, Dave W, Phil, Roger, Colin, Michael T, Ken (13+1) and Peter E popped in.

Apologies: Ponti, Harry, Fred, Rae (4)

31 March 2016 - A Krawl from Downe. The President led us on an interesting krawl in nice spring weather. We made our way to Farnborough Village and the Change of Horses where we arrived early even thou we had added an extra loop on to his too short version... After a pleasant pint in the sunshine we strolled back to The Queens Head where we had a very attentive young lady looking after us, and she seemed to enjoy our company too! The mileage was 7 on the button and we all enjoyed our day.

Present: Dave C (President), BN + Mike Richards, Dave A, Phil, Jim, Fred, Dave W, Chris, and Colin - Harry & Ken joined for lunch (12)

Apologies: Ponti. Rae, Roger, Martin, John (5)

25 February 2016 - A Krawl around Penshurst. Our President, Phil, did a good job and all nine Krawlers had a good if muddy day, all rounded off with a nice lunch and pleasant wine. We set off from the Chafford Arms in Fordcombe and proceeded to the Leicester Arms Hotel in Penshurst. Seven and a half miles in total, fresh but not raining or snowing... and don't ask about John's boots!

Present: Phil (President), BN, Fred, Harry, John, Jim, Chris, Apples and his guest David (8+1=13)

Apologies: Rae, Ponti, Colin, Martin, Dave W, Ken, Dave C, Roger, Dick, Peter W & Michael T (11)

28 January 2016 - Sunny Hayes & Keston with some history... Dave White led us on a most enjoyable and informative krawl on the nicest day of the week, and yes, the sun was out! 12 members and one guest set off from the Blackheath Clubhouse, headed to Rousse Farm, then Well Wood to Nash, up the 'chicken run', Keston Ponds and on to The Greyhound for a swift pint. We then pottered back to the Club, changed and set off for The New Inn where we had very good service, nice food and drink and a very agreeable bill. Just shy of 7 muddy miles.

Present: Dave W + Ray his guest, BN, Roger, Ponti, John, Phil, Harry, Fred, Colin, Dave C, Chris and Ken (12 + 1 guest = 13)

Apologies: Rae, Dick, Martin, Apples, Peter W & Jim (6)
