Because of the lockdown, due to the Covid-19 virus, we had to cancel the November
& December 2020 Krawls. Maybe 2021 will be OK?
29 October 2020 - like last month (again)... due to the continuing and
every changing Covid regulations we decided to do what we did last month... Meet and krawl from
Blackheath's HQ. Jim, as President, led us out over the commons to Wilberforce Oak. It was raining the
whole time but eased off towards the latter stages, not cold, in fact everyone was very warm and overdressed.
It ended up a longish krawl as we need to use up some time as we didn't have a half-way stop. So we came back
via Keston church, the foot of Fox, Rousse Farm , Well Wood and Coney Hall, seven & half damp miles. Fish
& Chips again, with beer and wine and then a surprise - out of Jim's car boot appeared a lovely large
trifle! Thank you Pauline,

24 September 2020 - like last month... due to the continuing and every changing Covid
regulations we decided to do what we did last month... Meet and krawl from Blackheath's HQ to the
Greyhound and have fish and chips again. And it worked well, BN took Fred and Phil on another easier
krawl and the Pres guided the others on a slightly long venture. The weather still remained kind to us although
it did start spiting just as we were leaving the Greyhound. Apples, having greeted us at the start, reappeared
having organised our fish & chip lunch followed this time with apple crumble, ice cream and custard.
We were saddened to report that Colin Brand had sadly passed since our last meeting, we stood to
remember Colin as well as Jackie & Cherry. On a lighter note we were pleased to welcome into our ranks
two new members namely Dave Arnold and Stan Ridgewell. Both were presented with their badges by the President.

27 August 2020 - Another Krawl around Keston. We're back! Thanks to our President, Dave
Appleton, we met up at Blackheath Harriers HQ and resumed our little walking and dining ventures. We
had 12, including two guests (Dave & Stan), at the start and split up into two groups, Apples taking
the hardy ones on an up-and-down trip to the Greyhound in Keston. BN took a sedate, level krawl
to the half-way house and was accompanied Fred, Phil and Chris - they of course arrived prior to the
opening, set up a tab and observed social distancing. The whole party then duly made there way back to the HQ
where we consumed fish & chips with beer and wine. Apples and his little helpers then surprised us all
with sticky toffee pudding, custard and ice cream... A jolly good day and a welcome return, only saddened by
the news that both Harry and Ken had lost their respective wife's.

27 February 2020 - Well Hill & Lullingstone Park. Drew once again organised a great
krawl but this time with no half-way house! What should have been a 14 man krawl ended up as 10, Roger,
Butler, Ponti & BN all cried off for various reasons. The weather, wet snow, drizzle and cold,
greeted the hardy soles all of whom enjoyed the day. The recent very wet few weeks meant that Lulligstone golf
course was shut.. so was their half-way house... undeterred they made it back to the Bo Peep for
another excellent lunch.

But not today!
30 January 2020 - The first krawl of the year was around Knockholt and ably led by
Roger. Nine met up at the Rose & Crown in Halstead, had a tasty snifter and set of on a
muddy venture with more styles than you could count... We arrived at the Three Horseshoes in Knockholt
bang on mid-day, a pint latter we were heading back for lunch and what a fine lunch it was too. Much more than
most of our elderly (!) members would normally consume, and great value. And a fine start to our 110th
year. Rae left us for a meet-up in London and Harry joined for lunch.
